What to Expect

MUSIC

We are a traditional Church of God and enjoy singing hymns that are rich in theology and exalt the mighty name of Jesus. While honoring the rich tradition of hymns, we also value the beauty and sound of contemporary Christian music and incorporate many popular songs in our services.

Psalm 100:1,  "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord all ye lands.Serve the Lord with gladness, come before His presence with singing."

WORSHIP

While we are in church you may see us stand, clap, lift our voices and/or our hands. Some may become very exuberant in their worship.  Don't be alarmed,  we are just expressing our love for the Lord.

1 Chronicles 16:29, "Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness."

OFFERING

Each service we receive an offering. Every organization as expenses and God has ordained tithes and offerings as a means of funding the church. In addition to weekly offerings we also receive donations for various ministries and missions programs that promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 9:7b, "God loveth a cheerful giver."

PREACHING

You'll notice the pulpit is in the center of the stage. This reminds us of the central place the Word of God is to have in our lives. Each service the Word of God is preached with the following goals:   (1) To urge those those who are lost to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior and submit to His Lordship (2) To challenge, equip, and encourage the believers so they reach their full potential in Christ.

1 Corinthians 1:18  For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

PRAYER

At the close of each message, opportunity is given for prayer. Everyone is encouraged to come to the altar, but feel free to pray in your pew if you feel more comfortable.

Mark 14:38, "Watch and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit is ready, but the flesh is weak."
